So I have done a undervolt when I first got the laptop 8 Months ago. It initially started when playing AC: Valhalla a few weeks ago. It as also started to do now while playing WoW.

These are the current throttle stop settings

CPU Core

CPU Cache

Anyone have any suggestions on what could be wrong? As I said the laptop as been stable upto this point and have played games such as Total War: Warhammer 2, Crusader Kings 3

EDIT:

Sorry I forgot to add what actually happens before the shutdown.

  1. Fans kick in as if a aeroplane is about to take off.
  2. The games framerate drops dramatically.
  3. The laptop shuts down.
CPU temps don't appear to get above 80C

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

You shouldn't be able to undervolt on that platform, especially after Intel nerfed it due to Plundervolt. You should set everything to default and see if the laptop gains back functinality while gaming.

Hi Litfij,

Thank you for your response. Yes you are right the CPU model I have wouldn't normally be able to be undervolted. However MSI have allowed this to happen by allowing user to enable XTU in the BIOS.

But you are right I'll switch of the undervolt and test.
