Msi gt 1030 oc on gigabyte g41m combo?

Hi guys i just ordered an msi gt 1030 2g lp oc. But now I'm a bit worried if it works fine with my gigabyte ga g41m combo motherboard. Is it okay?

Yes it will work. Your PCIe lanes are 2.0 and the 1030 are PCIe 3.0. But it should not matter. PCIe 2.0 x16 is the same as 3.0 x8 and that is more than enough bandwidth.

That is even better. 3.0 is twice as fast as 2.0. So PCIe 3.0 x4 = PCIe 2.0 x8

So this means you will have no bandwidth limitations whatsoever.
