Hi,
I am looking to upgrade and expand the storage in my MSI Laptop. So I would like to know if anyone knows if my laptop has SATA III Ports or SATA II. I called MSI last night and they gave me this link to in depth specs on every laptop they manufacture. Only thing is that when I saw my model it said I have 1 hard drive bay that runs SATA II. But I already opened my laptop and saw that it has 2 2.5 hdd bays. So I’m wondering if I may have a different model. The GT60 instead of the GT70.
Here are the specs for my laptop.
MSI GT70 2OC-59US
INTEL i7 4700MQ PROCESSOR
Hitachi 2.5 750GB 7200RPM HDD
NVIDIA GTX 770M
Blu-ray disk burner
Windows 8(pre-installed) upgraded to Windows 10 home.
16GB DDR3L Ram
I want to get a Samsung 850 evo 500gb SSD SATA III + upgrade hdd to 1TB hdd SATAIII.
If anyone can help me please reply to this post. Thank you all for your help.
