Hello,
I have a MSI NVidia GTX 780
On it's 1 year anniversary, I was playing a game and the screen went black.
I restarted, and the bios stopped detecting it. no matter what I do (Bios/Driver updates, changing slots...), it doesn't detect it. The fans spin normally but the card doesn't work. it doesn't even get hot with time, the fans just spin.
I tried another GTX on my pc it worked, while this one doesn't work on any PC.
So clearly it is an issue with the Card and not with the PC.
I have 2 questions, would be great to get feedback on them:
1) Is it repairable? or do I start looking for a new card?
2) What might have caused this problem? it was working perfectly for a year. I have a Corsair Power supply 750 Watts, and a powerful backup UPS that regulate the electricity and prevent power outage, so don't think it's power issue (or is it?). The VGA is in an excellent physical condition. Only some dust was on it that is easily removed by blowing on it. I'm just trying to figure out the reason to avoid it in the future.
Thank you very much for any input.
