Hi

Am about to my used gtx 950 for a really good price, but I dont know if I have enough amps. A saw a post were a guy says the gtx 950 needs 24a on the 12v rail, but I cant find an official statement. I know it needs 90w and I got enough for that atleast

I was told u can calculate amps like this

Card watt / 12v = amps
So
90 / 12 = 7.5a

So Is this correct? Because its not 24a like the guy said in another thread.

So how much amps does it need? And will it work

This is what I got:
450w
12v1 17a
12v2 18a

Solution
A 950 "system" is 'recommended' to have 24A on the 12V rail available.
24A x 12V = 288W, for the *system*.

Depends on the full spec of your system & the specific PSU in question.

A GTX 950, paired with a modern i3 would be fine (theoretically) on a good quality ~250W unit..... The problem is, not too many of those exist.
