I am going to purchase msi gtx 960 4gb gpu..so i wanted to purchase mobo compatible with it..looking for gaming mobo not too cheap not too expensive...i have intel dx58so,will this card support on my mobo

Doesn't matter. It is all backwards and forwards compatible. PCIe is PCIe. The different versions just have more band with and well with a 960 it still doesn't use all the bandwidth PCIe 2.0 offers so you are good. And the PSU should be good enough as well.
