MSI GTX 960 Gaming 4G Approx. Total Memory Problem

Hello I just installed my GTX 960 4Gb but Dxdiag only shows 2695mb
is this because I'm still using PCIe 2.0?

Can you post the full Dxdiag? I think your onboard graphics is still on. Did you install the drivers?

There is no real difference between PCIe 2.0 and PCIe 3.0. Onboard graphics or graphic driver updates.

Agreed. PCIe 3.0 just have more bandwidth support. Your card will have same amount of memory even if you install it on a PCIe 1.0 motherboard.

it seems dxdiag displays the integrated graphic card memory?, gpu-Z and nvidia system info displays 4gb

ignore that its fine. gpu-z shows it correctly. as an example my dxdiag shows my ram, has 8075mb

yep I don't mind it now...gonna upgrade my mobo and processor next week anyway z170 board and an i7 skylake >_<
