I recently installed MSI`s GTX970 Gaming 4G video card in my friends computer. His rig is an Alienware with i7, 12 gigs of G.skill Ripjaw RAM and MoBo is Alienware 0j560m. He has been having problems with Battlefield freezing on him. He was running 2 GTX 470`s SLI with no problem. Any ideas what might be causing the game to not work on the new card? Also I would like to add, GPUZ says it is running at 72c so could heat be an issue? Thank you all in advance for any help!

Update: I have reinstalled original RAM that he had been using before and still same issue. The only thing left is the video card.

Solution
its not a temperature issue, 72c is fine, uninstall all display drivers and re install them. You could also try going over to Alienwares website and see if they have any BIOS updates for that MOBO.

you could also try using the 970 on your rig to see if you have similar issues, if not, then its not the GPU. most likely the cheap PSU in that alienware.
