MSI GTX 970 throttling even though it doesn't hit TDP.

I flashed a custom bios onto my 970 so that i could raise the tdp 120% since it was at 110% before and heat wasn't (and still isn't) an issue. I have it overclocked to 1600mhz however, the card still throttles down about 13-25mhz randomly even during benchmarks. Anybody know why and how to sort it?

What temp are you hitting? My 970 started to throttle at 63c for whatever reason, 3DMark would never run at full speed, I believe I had to use KBoost to keep it maxed out, but I think it still dropped a bit but I may be mistaken.

Temps aren't an issue (pushed fans up a little more to keep it under 60 degrees to test) and it still begins to throttle. Looking at GPU-Z, it says power is an issue yet it only ever hits 115% of its 120% tdp.

Have you tried using KBoost on EVGA Precision?
