Msi Gtx 980 ti question

Hey guys i just a gtx 980 ti and i downloaded fallout 4 and im using a 4800x900 multi monitor setup, and im having having to play it on medium to lowish?
Is this normal i have 16gb ram and amd fx 6250 processor

You have a FX 6250 paired with a 980Ti? That CPU will seriously hold back a 980Ti, it's far too weak. My guess is you are maxing your cpu. What is your cpu and gpu usage while gaming? A 980Ti I would expect to get 60fps at high to ultra settings at that resolution

Yeah thats what i was thinking too so a good i7 should do it?

how about just another amd processor since my mobo is already amd

may bump up to a 8350 if your board can support it looks neck and neck ??

thing is reinvesting in to a 6 year old platform that am3+ now is ?? if spending money today it would for me better to get more today like a z97 and a haswell .. don't forget if you swap boards to intel you may need to buy another copy of windows on top of the cost as well

Yeah i picked a lga 1150 and haswell i5 so i should be good, and i have win 7 on a flash drive if i need to reinstall

but will it accept the key used on / from your old build or is it a new key for the new build ? may not transfer
