MSI GTX 980 Ti temperatures under load

Hi, I am currently running into temps on my MSI GTX 980 Ti that are creeping up to 75-77 degrees under full load. I have re-applied thermal paste and even installed a thermistor to regulate case fans with the GPU. My build is listed in my signature and my photo is of my actual computer.

Are the temps I am getting normal for this card, or am I running too hot?

Any recommendations on how to lower this short of going to water on the graphics card?

Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks

No, you're right. As long as you didn't cause any physical damage, there's a 99.99% chance that they'll accept your RMA. Either way, you should've looked up reviews of your specific card before deciding to do something unnecessary like a TIM swap on a brand new card lol

Before replacing TIM I was hitting 82 degrees. 5-7 degrees drop was worth it to me...as long as the card holds out. lol

Corsair air 540 with 3 120mm intake fans in front. 4 120mm fans in push/pull on my aoi cooler exhausting out the top, and 1 140mm exhausting out the rear

Oh, you should've mentioned that before. You wouldn't be the first person to get a shitty factory TIM application from MSI. It doesn't happen to often, but the issue that seems most common with their Gaming 6Gs is excessive paste on the chip, leading to poor heat transfer to the already mediocre heatsink.

Nothing wrong with that.
