Last week I bought a MSI GTX 980TI Gaming 6G. I've had it for a week now and only 2 days ago I bought 3D Mark and ran the normal Firestrike benchmark. After comparing my results to others using the 3D mark website I noticed that most people scored higher than me overall but they also had some overcooking done; either on their cpu or on their gpu. I then remembered that jayztwocents did a video on the card a while ago so I decided to watch it again and see what score he had in the benchmark. He scored 20385 for the graphics score, where I only scored 18823. I also decided to run the benchmark after using the MSI Gaming app and setting it to the OC mode. In the graphics scored I got 18805. How is that possible ?
After setting it back to the gaming mode I also ran the Valley benchmark from Unigine on ultra no MSAA where I scored 4598. Which seems to be way lower than I'm supposed to be getting according to this article: http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/graphics/2015/08/06/ms.... Here they scored 6592.
My temps also seem to be hotter than everyone else's. While gaming I've seen it go up to 77C°. My card also idles at 59C° constantly. It will not go any higher or any lower. The fans turn on and off to keep it at that temp. Is that fine, is that good for the fans ? My case has 1 intake fan and 2 outtake fans.
So I started looking online for answers. I could barely find anything about low scores in benchmarking. I've asked on the subreddits /r/Nvidia and /r/Nvidiahelp where I've had very little response and nothing really useful. I just don't know what to do.
Can someone please explain to me why I'm having these issues ? Are they common ? Is there an actual way of checking that your gpu is running fine and that it's performing as it should be, other than benchmarks ?

Thank you.
