Question msi h370 gaming boot loop

Good morning ,

we just got a MSI H370 gaming plus mainboard, and we're having boot issues with it .....

rest of the setup :

Intel I5 6400
1x 8GB Corsair vengeance LPX 2666mhz / CL16 RAM
MSI GeForce GTX 960 GAMING
Scythe Mugen 4 CPU cooler
Cooler Master GM G450M PSU
and some hdd's , but no SSD directly on the mainboard.

What does it do :

It boots up, shows the EZ debug led of Dram, before very shortly lighting up the cpu light and then shutting down.
3 seconds later , it goes through this again, again, again and well, just keeps doing it.

What we tried :

• Replacing the RAM ( we got a brandnew RAM stick ) , trying all 4 sockets and try to boot. no succes
• Removing the GPU , removing all drives and trying to boot : no joy.
• this is the second time we're installing this board with the same issues.

We've sent the board back the first time, and they repaired CPU pins that were damaged according to the company we bought it from, tested it and the mobo was working.

Got it back from them, but we're still facing the same issues.....please help ?!

Intel I5 6400

The H370 MB can't support the 6th gen i5 6400 cpu. H370 can only support 8th or 9th gen cpu. So return the H370, get the H270 for the i5 6400.
