I think its a good start, moving the PSU away from the case could reduce the heat in the case, we can talk about how it looks all day but fundamentally it a good design when it comes to airflow.
Buying an 80+ Gold or higher unit your computer shouldn't be getting heated up much by your PSU.

In most system the power supply is a very small part of the heat in a computer and they have a fan for a reason(they remove most the the heat they make and even take some case heat away).

If anything, this saves the power supply from computer heat(as do cases with the power supply intake on the bottom. Just make sure you clean the dust from time to time.).

Not impressed by this case or is it a barebones not sure when the design was tweaked to include a motherboard. Was it after the eval or did the author and the editor just missed it. Usually you don't see that happen at Tom's, so not sure what to think.

Why is the case propped up in the back like that? I like the RAM comparison where they compared DDR3L RAM vs DDR4. And the CPU comparison is interesting but the unit doesn't come with a CPU. Unit doesn't come with any of the stuff it highlights in the Performance page. And a B150 chipset? Don't most gamers and enthusiast want the Z170 chipset? Why use the B150 chipset for a “Gaming Powerhouse” barebones unit, inquiring minds want to know?
