Hello.

My ASUS A7V333 (North Bridge-VIA KT333 and South Bridge-VT8233A chipsets; v1 Revision) motherboard recently died (has different color spots around circuit) and from a power supply death. I am currently interested in getting a refurbished MSI KT4AV Socket A (Socket 462) VIA KT400A ATX AMD Motherboard to replace it with my Athlon XP 2200+ CPU. I ran Debian (Kernel 2.6.10-K7; don't have any other Kernel installed due to lack of /boot free disk space).

Will Linux be fully compatible with this motherboard and will I be able to boot up the OS without problems with this replaced motherboard? I had never replaced a motherboard with Linux before. I have had done it with Windows with its repair reinstall to re-detect my new hardware configuration.

Thank you in advance. :)
