[SOLVED] MSI laptop running in 60hz when it's an 144hz panel

So I just bought my MSI laptop and saw that i cant put my refresh rate to 144hz, because 60hz and 48hz are available. I tried in Advanced display setting and in Intel Graphics control panel.(pic) When i try to update my Intel® UHD Graphics 630 drivers it shows this message - A customized computer manufacturer driver is installed on your computer. The Intel Driver & Support Assistant is not able to update the driver. Installing a generic Intel driver instead of the customized computer manufacturer driver may cause technical issues. Contact your computer manufacturer for the latest driver for your computer. And when i read the description the max refresh rate is at 60hz. Any idea how to get my panel to 144hz?

Stop creating multiple threads when you already have a thread running of the same nature.

We're currently on 1903 for Windows 10. If you have any BIOS updates pending, do so before you reinstall the OS with the latest installer made using Windows Media Creation Tools.

Done it, still the same. Would uninstalling the Intel graphics driver with DDU and installing the newest from Intel website work? Or is it really just the hardware not software?

And when trying to update it I get this error message /Here/

When installing it from MSI's website, I get the same error message.

The Intel driver does appear capped at 60Hz. Have you tried Geforce drivers direct from Nvidia, or MSI's site? When setting refresh, are you attempting through Nvidia software vs Windows 10? Can you disable/bypass Intel GPU in the UEFI?

I updated the Nvidia drivers with GeForce experience. I tried to change my refresh rate trough windows10, as i cant do it trough nvidia control panel because i only have 3d settings available

There should be options in Nvidia Control panel. Under the resolution section I believe. Should be several options when opening from system tray icon besides 3d settings. Any screenshots?

Nop, only 3d setting. The rest are on Intel's software /Here/

Ok. Have you tried disabling Intel GPU in the UEFI? Really no purpose to use it when you have the 1660 Ti in there. Likely a conflict from both being enabled. The old Nvidia Optimus(forget what it was called) hasn't been used in years. This would use Intel graphics at idle/2d and switch to Nvidia in games, ect.

Looked into it a bit more. Do you have exact spec/sticker for your laptop. Are you certain you got the 144Hz version? Its listed as an option, not every GS75 Stealth 9SD has 144hz panel. Found others asking same question.

Dont have that Black box that my laptop came in with me rn, but i know that display was written as (1920x1080 IPS-Level) and nothing else, not sure if it should have 144hz written aswell. But at the retailers website, it was indicated that this laptop had an 144hz panel. But mybe the retailer just f-up. Iv'e already tried to contact MSI and just waiting for the response too see what they say about the laptop. Or else i might just return it.

MSI isn't very clear unless you read fine print it seems. Even the retailers mess this up. Unless it's spelled out as 144hz after it says 1080P IPS-level, it looks to be 60Hz panel.
