My laptop suffered a BSOD that I skipped by powering off completely. Afterwards, my laptop's CPU fan stopped working, but it still boots up.
I opened it up (which I regret because I basically voided the warranty), and when I powered the laptop on, the CPU fan twitches ever so slightly.
Currently, I'm using the laptop with the CPU on low so the temps reach around 55-65°C, so it's usable. Obviously, it's a lot slower, so I still want to get it fixed. The laptop is 6 months old.
Things I've tried:
- Blowing some of the dust out of the fan.
- Pressed the connector down on the pins to make sure it's securely connected
Any ideas?
