Hi there,

I'm about to build a new system and was looking at purchasing either the Z270 Gaming M5 or M7 motherboard. Also looking at purchasing Corsair RAM (Vengeance LED). I checked the ram compatibility for each motherboard.

Gaming M5 RAM compatibility: Vengeance LED (S/N: CMU32GX4M4C3000C15) 32GB (4 x 4GB) is listed in the compatibility list, however, not for 4 DIMM. Does this mean 4 sticks isn't supported but it will still work?

Gaming M7 RAM compatibility: Vengeance LED (S/N: CMU32GX4M4C3000C15) 32GB (4 x 4GB) is not listed in the compatibility list. Does this mean that the RAM will not work with the motherboard or does it just mean there is a very (very) minute chance it may not work?

Also, I checked the motherboard specifications. It indicates its a Dual Memory channel. I'm assuming that doesn't mean you can't use all 4 DIMM slots?

Thanks in advance.

Any help would be appreciated

Solution
They probably just don't have tested this specific set
If a 2x8GB and 2x4GB set of that ram works, the 4x4GB set will work as well.
Further more if 2x16GB and 2x8GB work, 4x8GB will do as well
After doing a bit more research, I purchased 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance RAM instead as there didn't seem much benefit in getting more than 16GB. Thanks again for the responses :) Much appreciated.
