First, Ryzen is released and parts will be available on 02-Mar-17. There will be a significant shakeup in the market, price to performance ratios will be dropping, maybe drastically.
Pre-built are generally not a good value for the money. MSI is a quality builder but I can design a home built which will easily outperform this system for the same money. Even if I include vendor assembly, delivered to you already stress tested.
Looking at the Nightblade itself we have
- a non-K processor
- a B250 mobo, this is a lower end chipset
- an unspecified brand of GTX 1070 GPU
- only 2 DIMM slots for RAM
- PCIe based wireless card with no antenna(s)
- 16GB of DDR4 2400MHz RAM, brand and model unknown
- An 80+ Silver 500W PSU, brand and model unknown
- A 2TB HDD and a 256GB SSD, brand and model unknown
- Interceptor DS4200 Keyboard + DS B1 Gaming Mouse
As suspected, there is a lot of room for uncertainty with all the unknown brands.
Below is my build with everything from NCIX, they will assemble for $50-$75. All these components are as good as or better than the MSI build. Except the HDD went from 2TB to 1TB.
