I have no idea if it's a waste of money or not because I can't find pricing for it anywhere nor have I found it in any online retailers stores or in stores at all. Asus card has nice specs but it is triple slotted which doesn't work for me.

I already had 1 of the gtx cards before i rebuilt my computer. so i decided to get another and run them in sli and completely forgot the fact that you cant run sli on the 890fx chipset. I installed them anyway and they power up fine and windows knows they are there but only 1 card does all the work. The other one just sits there happily idling away. So im gonna build a sandy bridge system for a friend of mine from work and put those 2 gtx cards in it and im gonna get 2 6970's most likely for this box.

you know there is a way that you can run sli on that board, with a bios hack, I believe Nforcemax could tell you... I would strongly discourage crossfire, speaking from my personal expirience the drivers and minimum fps are just not there, sli works a lot better for a dual card setup... If you want a 6970, then I would personally recomend running a single card, just my .02 cents

actually CF has better minimum frames than SLI

6970s outperform 580s in minimums on crysis

and avg performance also..

and i wouldn't say that 570 SLi is much better

+ if not to look @ STALKER, which clearly *like HAWX2* prefers nVidia, HD6970s perform better

avg fps in 6 games:
6970s : 48,41
570s : 44,25

those are a couple isolated games in many other benches ive seen the results were quite different all in all regardless of min fps, crossfire drivers just plain suck, have you owned a crossfire system>? if not then you would not know what im talking about by drawing a conclusion from a review cite
