i just got it for Christmas and from looking at videos of people using it for bf4 the average on ultra is around 38fps but thats with the standard 270x. i will be playing bf4 and every 30 seconds or so il get a huge lag spike which brings me down to like 20-25 fps its pretty annoying someone please help!!
pc specs - r9 270xd hawk
- amd fx8320 8 core 3.5ghz
- corsair cx600
- msi 760gm -p23
- 8gb of ram 1333

Have you updated to the latest drivers for your GPU? New drivers offer better support for newer games like BF4.

i wiped m old drivers and installed new ones but still nothing also i messed around with the settings putting them down low as possible and im still getting the fps drops :///

That's weird. You should be getting really good performance from your setup considering You have a good processor that wont bottleneck your good graphics card. I would recommend returning the card because it could be faulty.

Try turning off V-Sync/Allow AA to be controlled by the game/Tessellation and others allow the application to override.
The less you try to limit in Catalyst the better your performance will be./that's how it worked for me anyhow...
Try not to AMD Optimize anything as it seemed to hold things back for me.
Let the in-game settings do the work, benchmark if you can and move from there

yeah i did that but still il get fps drops like it will be at 50fps then drop to 20 for about 5 seconds and its making the game completely unplayable.

you may need to defrag your disk.fragment files can cause huge lag spikes and also can cause huge loading times so defrag your disk which you have saved your game. And also try to mesure your cpu-vga temperatures it may be caused by the high temperatures.
