Hey all,

I'm building a computer and have an older model mb socket 775 using DDR Ram. I want to install a MSI radeon 5450 in it but it seems the board won't accept the 1g DDR3 on the card. will this mb work?

MSI G41M-P26 Socket 775 G41 Motherboard - Micro ATX, Socket LGA775, Intel G41 Chipset, 1333MHz DDR3, SATA 3.0 Gb/s, Intel GMA X4500, 7.1-CH Audio, Fast Ethernet LAN

The DDR RAM on the motherboard is completely independent of the DDR3 RAM on the graphics card.

The only possible issue you may encounter is that the motherboard implements PCI-E 1.0a and the graphics card is PCI-E 2.1.

If the graphics card has properly implemented the PCI-E 2.1 specification you shouldn't encounter any compatibility problems.
