Can anyone answer if this GTX 760 is just a re-branded GTX 670? Higher or lower or about the same? I have the GTX 670 and I'm wondering if I should get another or upgrade, Thx in advance!~ ^_^

This is a remade 670 Power Edition you could say, and right now, MSI's Lightning and PE and HAWK cards are having some small issues, they found that MSI was kind of cheating and overvolting it from the factory, causing users to run into big problems, not good MSI. I'm a huge fan, and it's dissapointing to see they took such a longshot, that missed after all.

MSI was caught overvolting the PWM for the GPU on the 660Ti Power Edition and 670 Power Edition cards. None of the HAWK or Lightining cards were affected. However once Nvidia caught wind of it they put a stop to it immediately and MSI has not been doing it since. They are no longer having these issues and even new 660Ti and 670 Power Edition cards have the issue fixed. None of the new 700 series cards should have this issue either. It was a one-time mistake.

Thanks for clarifying, I shoud've gotten more informed, I guess I will be picking up a 780 Lightning after all, oh can't wait to get it and have triple sli triple monitor configuration. It's kind of overkill.

You will gain nothing noticeable over your 670 with a 760 overall. In a few games like Bioshock Infinite and Hitman Absolution, the 670 actually beats the 760 by a couple of frames according to Guru3D tests. At best it would be lateral move. Like spooder said, if you want to upgrade, sell the 670 and go for the 780 (or get a second 670 if you can still find one and go SLI).

Similarly, I've got a 680 and do not see any reason to upgrade to the 770 even though it has a slightly larger performance margin increase over the 680 than the 760 does over the 670. I would like to go SLI for a QHD monitor upgrade, but can't find a second 680 at a decent price. Might as well eBay the 680 for $325 or so and buy a pair of 770s (SLI 770 upgrade net cost = $975: $400+$400 + $175 value loss of the 680 vs. $500 + $425 = $925 upgrading to SLI 680 if I could even find one). No brainer there. Just something to think about...

The 760's are all reworked 660 OEM's, just check the core count.

Only 170W on full load. This is indeed a wonderful achievement when taking into account the still relatively expensive 500 series' poor GFlops/Watt delivery.

Gtx 760 it's cuted 670. The diference is only in number of Texture mapping units 112 of GTX 670 vs 96 of 760gtx and less shader unit 1344 (670gtx ) vs 1152 ( 760gtx)

GTX 670 is better card than 760 no matter how hard you overclock it. ( Because you can always overclock 670gtx too ) :)

Wrong, it's not and never was a 670.
