Hi there,

I just upgraded my gpu from a sapphire r9 270x to a msi rx 480 gaming x 8gb. It seems to be underperforming by a lot, for instance - on the r9 I would get 120-150 fps in overratch on low settings but twitch the 480 It sits between the same range. I'm so confused by this, any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Fx 6300 cpu 4.2ghz oc
Hyper evo 12 cooler
Gigabyte ga ds3p
Evga 500 b+
6 corsair silent 120mm fans
Windows 7 ultimate

Solution
I have now resolved the issues. Fresh install of windows 10 amd all drivers. Now running the game 1080p ultra at 120-150fps. Appreciate all the help.
I'm not getting much higher, Overwatch is one of those games that my CPU swap (FX 6300 ---> i3 7350k) didn't really change much, though it was a bit faster with the i3. I guess it may be your CPU?

Do you limit your FPS in the menus?

Does it go up when you lower resolution and settings and down after a certain point of upping res/settings?

I don't think it's a cpu bottleneck as my cpu is running on low temperatures, I have monitored the usage on it also. What's strange though is my gpu is only using 500vram. I have tried lowering the resolution but it doesn't give much performance gain.
