MSI Rx 570 8GB Armor oc with Pentium G4400 bad combo? Which CPU should I get?

I think it should be fairly obvious lol but i just want to double check. I've always wanted to build my own gaming pc, however I had tight budget and had to build one for school with only 4GB of ddr4 ram and a Pentium G4400. I recently got the MSI Rx 570 8GB OC and installed it. Unfortunately many titles run janky and weird. For example, Fallout 4 runs like what you'd except a 2010 gaming laptop to run (so much stutter), mean while Gears of War 4 runs good 70% of the time with 60FPS. I know i must upgrade to 8GB of ram, however I want to make a wise choice on the CPU side, What would be a good match up with my GPU (MSI Rx 570 8GB OC). I want to make sure my GPU performs the best that it can.

Your CPU is too weak for the nice card and 8GB is needed, poor combination.

I like the term janky. I'll have to replace wonky with that.

I'd suggest going with an Intel i5-8400 or 8600k(if you can) and preferably 16gb of memory(it's good to have at least 8gb minimum these days)
