News MSI Spills Possible Intel Alder Lake Launch Date

Not necessarily. It does make sense to open "upgrade" events a tad earlier than official release of the product you're offering the upgrade for. That way you can allow customers to be ready on day 1 with their purchase and then allow the rest to follow cadence.

" According to rumors and early benchmarks, Intel Core i9-12900K is going to offer a 5 GHz all-core boost clock with a 3.70 GHz base. This is combined with a mix of 8 P-Cores/8 E-Cores and 24 threads. The other units vary in terms of specifications, but all of them have a TDP of 125W."

I believe the "Efficiency" cores will run slower, and thus the 5GHz "all-core" frecuency is not exatly all-cores like it used to be. A thing we will have to be carefull in the future when talking/writing about Alder Lake cpus.
