We need some dramatics jumps in the discrete GPU market, with 4K popping up all over the place, and even 5K monitors showing up; if anyone's going to continue to want to run triple monitor eyefinity/3d surround gaming at max resolution - today none of these cards can do it. Not even the 295X2.
Your'e right, but the latest UHD(but 4k between friends, cause real 4k is losing the battle to UHD for standard res) gaming was running "almost fine" (40FPS) on 1x 295X2 so 2 of them XFire'd should do the trick and give us FPS avg well over 60 with a low std.deviation.
The problem though is 850W just for 2 of those running full tilt(excluding the rest of the machine) and $2000 for purchase(assuming rebate stands) and even more for the equivalent power in Nvidia cards.
I'm just hoping that around 2016, ordinary people can have UHD@60hz gaming for less than $1k for graphics cards. Time will tell though.
