My MSI Thin laptop occasionally boots to the BIOS after start up. It happened today but the last time it happened was months ago but it has occurred since I bought it. Any ideas or could it just be a quirk of the laptop?
I have a USB hub plugged in and I note the default BIOS setting is to boot from USB then Windows. Not sure if that could occasionally confused the system?
I checked the disk health and that’s 99%. I also just ran a RAM test and after finishing the following occurred:
Recovery
Your PC/Device needs to be repaired
The application or operating system couldn't be loaded because a required file is contains errors.
File: (windows\system32\winload.efi
Error code: 0xc0000225
You'll need to use recovery tools. If you don't have any installation media (like a disc device), contact your PC administrator or PC/Device manufacturer.
But as soon as I turned it off and turned it back on, the laptop went to the BIOS again but the boot loader was there and it booted back to Windows after exiting the BIOS and now it will probably load fine for the next month or so until it will go back to the BIOS randomly no doubt.
Any ideas? Thanks!
