MSI TwinFrozr: GTX 760 vs R9 280

Hey all,

I'm looking to get a GPU for my new build, but I'm confused on which one to get:

The AMD has a slightly lower clock speed but it has more VRAM and is a bit cheaper if you count the MIR. The NVIDIA card has a higher clock speed and more reviews. The rest of my build consists of an AMD 8350, 8 gigs of ram, 1TB HDD etc etc etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

At 1080p, they can go either way but at 1440p, R9 280 pulls ahead.
I would personally go for R9 280 or R9 280X.

You can't compare clock speed between the two since it is different. You will have to look at benchmarks made by gpu testers.

I'd go R9 280. The extra memory bandwidth can be useful in some situations, along with the card being cheaper. Additionally, those 7950s (280s) overclock very well.
