Asus is the better one without any confusion but the sockets you have described are of different processors.
MSI board has LGA1150 whereas Asus has LGA1155 socket. You might want to take a look at your processor's compatibility before you go for buying the product.

Not a fair comparison. The MSI is 4th gen (Haswell) while the Asus is 2nd/3rd gen (Sandy/Ivy). The MSI is the more up-to-date board with more Sata III ports and better power phase design (6+2 for MSI vs. 4+1+1 for Asus).

The MSI is the better board in this comparison.
