I was able to fetch a couple of different Winki links, listed in the thread: 'How to get winki 3'; from:

Code:
faenl.msi.com/index.php?dir=Mainboard/Utilities/
However, can't get it to boot! :-(

Version installed ( s3.postimg.org/6931dufv7/3_2_126.png ), is:

3_2_126.png

Edit: It just goes to the shell command prompt & I can list the /help and use shell CMDs, but the OS won't start - automagically, or otherwise (if there's even a way to launch it?)

Solution
Just spitballing a bit here since I haven't touched my old AM3+ 970 Msi board since my 990fx upgrade last July, but I believe the only way to boot it was through the bios on the board. So, a simple restart and a hit of the delete/es/f8 key should put you on your way to opening it up.

I had the same problems and frustrations with my 970A-G43 mobo. I have a bit more information to add. I run Linux only on this machine, so was worried because the documentation says Winki must be loaded onto Windows. I need not have worried. I didn't need windows, but just an NTFS drive in which to create a /winki directory. Or C:\winki if you prefer Windows-speak.

I downloaded from

http://faenl.msi.com/index.php?dir=Mainboard/Utilities/

several files. The most germane seemed to be

Winki Windows Installer.zip

I unzipped this onto an extermal USB 3.0 HDD formatted with NTFS. This created a directory /winki with the winki stuff in it. If I were running Windows, this would undoubtedly have been seen as C:\winki

On rebooting and entering the BIOS (not UEFI in my case but the older ROM BIOS) I selected the browser. It asked me what to boot it from, with default being the USB drive. I dobule-clicked that and lo and behold, Winki was booted, and firefox started. I had some troubles with firefox downloads, as it didn't seem able to display directories or other things I'm used to it doing, so I exited Firefox, and was in bare Winki. One if its options was LiveUpdate, which I ran. Fortunately, I discovered I already had the latest BIOS, so no further action was required.

I hope this helps.

That site also has Winki-M3.2.123.zip, which unpacks to Winki-M3.2.123.iso. Presumably you can burn that to a CD and do something useful with it, but I have not tried it.
