Hi there, I am building a new desktop for my office. I couldn't find a set of 2666Mhz 64gb RAM modules in a reasonable price so the seller convienced me to buy this set of 3000mhz g.skill that he guarantees is compatible with mobo and cpu. He said it is possible to make the 3000Mhz RAM run in the x299 but i will have to do it myself via the BIOS. I have not done it before so i would really appreciate your help!

How can i configure the BIOS of the MSI X299 Gaming pro carbon mobo to work with RAM G.skill 3000MHZ AEGIS 64gb (8x8)?
Here is my system's specs:
CPU: i9-7900x
MOBO: MSI X299 Gaming pro carbon
RAM: G.skill 3000MHZ AEGIS 64gb (8x8) - (Intel XMP 2.0 (Extreme Memory Profile) Ready)
GPU: MSI 1070Ti Gaming
PSU: Seasonic Prime Ultra Titanium 850w
OS: Windows 7 Pro 64

I plan to install Win7 because it reserves less VRAM from the GPU than Win10.

If i do not enable the XMP profile and just leave the bios as it is, then will the system work and recognise all 64gb of ram at 2666mhz (the maximum x299 supports by default)? I don't mind if the RAM is running at 2666mhz. I just do not have time to experiment at the moment.
