Hi,

which motherboard should I buy. Same price for both. I'm planning to buy ryzen 1600 or 2600. I have one gpu and great power supply. Which motherboard should be better for overclocking?

If you're buying a 2nd Gen Ryzen CPU (e.g. 2600), you'll need to make sure the any 300 series motherboard you get comes with an up to date BIOS to support the new CPUs. Alternatively, get a 400 series mobo (X470).

If you can get both of those for the same price, I'd probably go with the X370. Both should overclock similarly though.

The Asus board you have mentioned is one of the better OCing boards with adequate CPU Power Phases and VRMs... http://goodgamingmotherboard.com/best-b350-ryzen-motherboard/
It also has a DP out and better Audio Codec, but looses out on a couple of USB3/3.1 ports... https://us.hardware.info/comparisontable/products/400375-386635

The MSI board is equally good and boasts of better performance results.
Personally I like the Asus BIOS which is very user friendly and easy to tweak.

Thank you guys! I ordered MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon. This is also first time I bought motherboard other than ASUS. Judging by reviews MSI board should be great and performing well under all conditions.
Asus have better audio codec? What did you mean by that? In terms of sound quality these two motherboards should be similar I think because both of them have great Realtek ALC1220 codec.

One more question. I ordered 2x ddr4 memory sticks by g.skill - model ripjaws. I'm planning to add more ram in the near future, but should additional 2 sticks of ram affect memory and overclocking performance because I will not have free slots? If all memory bios settings remains the same including command rate of 1T, should 4 sticks affect performance?
