So i just got my Ryzen 7 5800X and wanted to Flash my new X570A-Pro Mobo by MSI.

But when the BIOS Flash LED stops blinking and my USB LED too the Mobo it restarts and my PSU and onboard fan start spinning again and i won‘t shut off on its own. Also the CPU ERROR LED lights on.

When i build in my CPU the error remains.

I tried 2 different USB drives and 2 different BIOS versions.

Solution
Directly from your manual:
Updating BIOS with Flash BIOS Button Before updating:
Please download the latest BIOS file that matches your motherboard model from MSI® website and rename the BIOS file to MSI.ROM.
And then, save the MSI.ROM file to the root of USB flash drive.
Important Only the FAT32 format USB flash drive supports updating BIOS by Flash BIOS Button.
  1. Connect power supply to CPU_PWR1 and ATX_PWR1. (No other components are necessary but power supply.)
  2. Plug the USB flash drive that contains the MSI.ROM file into the Flash BIOS Port on rear I/O panel.
  3. Press the Flash BIOS Button to flash BIOS, and the LED near the Button starts flashing.
  4. After the flashing BIOS process is 100% completed, the LED would be off...

So I would try it without the CPU, GPU or RAM installed and make SURE you extracted the BIOS.zip file with winRAR (or similar) to the root directory on your USB 2.0 FAT32 formatted USB drive and rename it to MSI.ROM.

I would also CLEAR the CMOS using the Clear CMOS jumper on the Motherboard Before you install the CPU, GPU and RAM.

Solution
Yes that was exactly what i did. On my 3rd attempt to flash the BIOS it shut off just for a second but restarted immediatly.

I switched off my PSU and i gave it a try to build in my CPU, Cooler, RAM and GPU and this time it worked and i could access the BIOS. All my stuff was detected.
