This is a brand new build, but not my first. Here are the specs for what I'm working with in this issue:
Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ATX TG Case
MSI X99 Gaming Pro Carbon Mobo
i7-6800k CPU
Asus ROG Strix 1070-08G GPU
Seasonic Prime 750 Titanium PSU
Windows is installed on M.2 SSD attached to mobo
There is no on-board graphics
Now here is the issue:
I am currently losing a 2 hour long struggle against debug code 64 on the MSI board, as well as the ez debug lighting up the VGA light. Now I don't know what happened, as all I did was I tried plugging in a new SSD, and then it tried booting from it, so I unplugged it to go back in and change the boot order. When I did that I get a black screen and the mobo gets stuck on debug code 64. Now the GPU is working ask it gets warm and the fans spin up at boot; as well as the light indicating there is power is one.
Here is what I have done so far:
Reset CMOS
Tried moving the GPU in between the top two PCIx16 slots
Reset all the RAM
Unplugged all the USB headers
Boot with no GPU, power off, plug GPU back in
Still nothing.
I have been at this for over two hours and am about ready to lose my mind as I had the machine up and running not even 5 mins before this all happened. Looking for any suggestions that I may have overlooked in my frustration. Going to walk away from it for a bit. Hoping someone on here might be able to shine some light on this issue for me.
Thank you in advance!
