I am a CS undergrad student(Recently admitted). I want to build a PC. I am confused which cpu should I choose . I don't play games. My budget is 580$ max. Whould I choose low processor with dedicated gpu(ddr4 build)or should I go with iGPU(ddr5 build)? If without gpu budget for processor is 30$ .I am beginner. Please help me.

$30 for a CPU ??? Not likely, didn't you mean 300?
If you are not into playing games most IGPUs would do, 2D processing is not much worse than with dedicated GPUs.
Prices may be different depend on your market so that would be useful to know first but you should be able to get decent one at or under $200. For other parts, you would have to go by CPU.

Have you thought about getting a laptop? You could take it to class and labs.

Actually I have a old laptop(intel core i3 8th gen, 4 gb ram, 256 ssd). But it quite slow. AndIn my class I need to carry my laptop for 1-2 days a month. I can use my old laptop for my university purpose. But I want to build a pc actually .
