I got the asrock thunderbolt 2 adapter for my desktop to run a 27" apple thunderbolt display. I get no display and even stranger is my 24" cinema display works just fine in it. The software always reads no devices connected even though the 24" display works.

I'm running it in a msi z170a krait gaining board. Msi said they have no conformed treating so they have no idea if or how to make it work. Asrock said their cards work with the 27" apple thunderbolt display but they only support asrock boards with the card.

Anyone have any ideas or got it to work. Any help is appreciated.

It doesn't have a graphics card integrated; it's just capable of passing through graphics. You need to feed it graphics from your graphics card. I think that in this case that's not done over the system bus but done by connecting your graphics card to the DisplayPort input on this device. Have you tried this?
