I have a MSI Z390 Gaming Pro Carbon motherboard using Window 10 64 bit, all parts less than 6 months old.
System was running fine but during a large (5 gig) game update download I got a blue screen with the message "bad system config".
I tried rebooting to see if Windows could fix itself but it failed, also tried the advanced tools from the repair portion of Windows.
After running out of options I reformatted hard drive and reinstalled Windows 10 and it seemed to fix the bad system config part.
Installed the drivers from MSI MB disk but the Lan driver does not take, it says it installs but the port doesn't work.
Every time I run the driver disk it says I need to install the LAN driver.
I did get the system online by plugging in a USB Wifi adapter.
The other issue is the video card drive is doing the same thing, I install the driver and it doesn't take, it acts like I never installed it.
Video card is MSI 1060 OC 6gt
If help would be appreciated, if you need more info let me know.
Thanks
