New build system with specification below. System booted fine on build, Windows 10 pro installed and fully updated with drivers directly from MSI, NVidia and Intel and ran for several days (shutting down and booting several times) without issue. Today after spending yesterday migrating items from old HD left the machine to have dinner and it went to sleep and never came back. Wouldn't return from sleep and after forcefully shutting the machine down the CPU light remains solid on the mobo and it doesn't post.

Troubleshooting already tried:
  • CMOS Jumper Reset and battery reset
  • Removing and reseating the CPU
  • Checking the CPU socket for bent pins (not sure what to check regarding the socket chips)
  • Booted with no peripherals (removed GPU, down to 1 stick of RAM, and HD)
The BIOS was as shipped on the mobo.

Spec:
  • MSI Z490-A PRO ATX Motherboard
  • Intel Core i5 11600K
  • THERMALTAKE TOUGHRAM BLACK 16GB (R017D408GX2-3600C18A)
  • WD Blue SN550 2TB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD/
  • Corsair RM650 650 Watt 80+ Gold
  • Gigabyte NVidia GTX 3060
Any help is much appreciated!

With the psu unplugged remove the lithium battery from the mobo and hold the power on the case for 30s x2s then reseat battery followed by power cable then boot system.... this is a lot more effective then the bios jumper
