I have a MSI Z490-A Pro and a ASUS ROG STRIX 390-F MB. I love the Thunderbolt header on the Z490 and the 10th generation CPU upgrade. But the 390-F has worked flawlessly with the 9900K CPU and EVGA RTX 2080 video card and 64GB DDR3 RAM. I am a video editor/animator who is torn between the two MB's. Any suggestions that may tip me in one direction.

Much appreciated!!!

I doubt you are using ddr3 on that motherboard.

Why change out something that has been working flawlessly??
9900K is a very strong processor.
A i7-10700K on a Z490 motherboard would perform similarly.
You would need to be able to find a i9-10900K to do a bit better, and that processor is very hard to find at a decent price.

Thanks so much for the response...it's very helpful. Yes. I stand corrected on the RAM - DDR4.
