Hi,

I built my own PC a couple of years ago with a Fractal Design R3 case and Gigabyte motherboard. The headphones and front jack worked fine. Yesterday I upgraded the motherboard, CPU, RAM etc. but now the headphones are not detected in the front jack. I have double-checked that all the leads are plugged in correctly but still nothing. I have no idea what it could be as I have to assume that the front jacks and headphones (with mic) were working 24 hours ago! My OS is Win 7 64-bit.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Stephen

Could you tell witch connector is plugged in witch port on your mobo because, thats is the only thing that could be wrong. Except that the connector is broken but it workt fine 24 hours ago so that not probably not it

Not sure exactly what you mean but I am sure that the right connector is plugged into the corresponding port on the mobo. It is clearly labelled and the connector is keyed so I am sure all is good.

The only choice I made was to use the HDA connector rather than the AC97 one.
