Question MSI Z87 -G41 pc mate

When running in dos after about 15 mins the monitor switches off, everything else is still running, for instance if i am doing a restore with Acronis hard drive activity continues and the restore completes, the pc then needs to be switched off and then back on and windows boots, the monitor is off pressing the space bar does not wake it up, it does not do this in windows. I am running win 10 has anyone any clues please.
