msi z97, but which one?

I am looking to buy a new motherboard and for the most part I have been dedicated to a particular one, however after a change in power supply its left me to look at others and so which motherboard is better and why?

Z97-G55 has 3 PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot while the Z97 Gaming 3 only has 1 and 1 PCI Express 2.0 slot.
That only matters if you plan on SLI or crossfire.

I plan on going crossfire later on which is why iv changed my power supply, so is there no advantages of the gaming 3 over the g55 sli?

Besides looks? No, the Z97-G55 is a better board.
