Msi z97 gaming 5 ethernet port doesn´t work

Just put my friends computer together, everything is working fine except ethernet port. Therefor i can´t install the driver for the wifi adapter.

I haven´t installed any drivers yet and I can´t install it from the disk because I haven´t got a cd-rom.

Please help me, why isn´t the ethernet port working? Do I need a driver for the ethernet port to install drivers? Or is my ethernet port broken? Do i have to get drivers from another PC on an USB penn and install it from there?

Depending of the OS used and type of the network card it is indeed possible that you need to use specified driver. So yes you need to transfer this drivers somehow and the USB pen is one of those options.
