[citation][nom]abswindows7[/nom]wtf ? 4 gig is plenty enough for the use ... You need 8gb ? Get a pc not a notebook[/citation]

8 gigs isn't just for desktops anymore. I plan on upgrading my envy to 8 gigs after I get it. Of course it's easy on the envys due to having 4 ram slots. Though with 4 gig sticks coming down in price every day, laptops with 8 gigs will start being more commonplace.

but can it run crysis 2?
ok now for my real 2 cents
i think the track pad should be on the other side (and bigger too)your wrist would be right on that thing when gaming. i would like to see an eco mode so if need be you could use this thing to surf the web n stuff for extended periods of time without being plugged into the wall.

OK. One more time. Asus G73jh at Best Buy is $1199.99. Specs are:

Intel Core i7 720, 6GB DDR2 1333 RAM, 500GB hard drive at 7200, HDMI out, 1600 x 900 res, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 w/ 1 GB GDDR5, wireless b/g/n, double-layer DVD+RW/CD-RW,sorry if I left anything out.

[citation][nom]MrHectorEric[/nom]Only 1366x768 for a 16" screen? Might as well throw in an older GPU and cut the price because that resolution is an insult the the 5730. And -1 for a glossy highly reflective screen, I can't stand glossy monitors when gaming. Needs more RAM too.[/citation]

How is that resolution a poor pick for a 5730? Seems like a decent match up to me if you want to run decent graphics settings. I would rather a 1440x900 screen but I think a 1680x1050 or 1920x1080 would require settings too low for anything but old games or to run at non-native res, neither desirable for a "gaming" laptop.

Imo, Asus has the best gaming laptops for the price atm.

ASUS right now is the choice in laptops, but MSI is filling their line with competitive laptops as well for alot cheaper. The MSI with the HD5850 is a huge bargain at around $1100. The rest of the laptop manufacturers are behind the times which is bad for technology.
