Hello everyone here are my specs.
CPU: Ryzen 7 1700 8 core 16 thread Stock 3.0Ghz
MOBO: ASRock x370 PRO4 AM4
RAM: 2x 8GB TForce Vulcan 288pin DDR4 2400 PC419200
VID: ASROCK Radeon RX 580 8GB OC
Here is my issue. Final Fantasy XIV has the ability to run multiple clients with no issues given that your PC has the resources for it. Which in this case mine does.
There is an option where you can limit the FPS when the window is not selected. i want to clarify that i have UNSELECTED this option. Both clients are Borderless.
So while running 2 clients the game runs well. Except for one issue. Which ever window the mouse is on is considered the MAIN by the system. When this happens the selected window runs as expected. However the other takes a nose dive to 25 - 15 FPS. Running the game normally i can get 120 FPS. Both Clients are limited to 60 FPS. i have tried many things such as running on DX9 instead of DX11. Changed video settings as far down as possible. Even lowering resolution. The game is playable on the other monitor. However it as if windows is setting a priority for just that window. I have also changed the clients CPU core usage and set the priority to High. My PC has plenty of room left for the other client to get good FPS. It does not make sense.
