Multimedia Audio Controller

So guys... I just installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit on my new Seagate 320gb hdd And my audio device is not getting detected, when i opened device manager, i saw this:

The multimedia audio controller driver is not installed, when i search for it in windows update, it says...

I have even installed realtek hd audio drivers
and I think it's the multimedia audio driver which is causing the problem and because of which the audio device is not getting detected
Btw, my speakers are of odyssey, probably falling under the generic category of speakers
System Specs;
Intel HD Graphics with 1760mb memory
4gb ram (2 sticks, 3.71gb usable)
Intel Pentium G620 2.6 ghz dual-core processor
Asus Asrock H61M PS2 motherboard
Seagate 320gb hdd(Brand new)
Any quick help will be greatly appreciated

I suspect that you need the specific audio drivers for that board for Windows 7. Look here: https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/H61MU3S3/#Download
Why windows 7? I only see 10 listed under drivers for that motherboard. If support started with 10, you will not find Windows 7 drivers for it.

My PC came with windows 7 preinstalled

And the link for the drivers is of different motherboard, mine's a made in taipei asrock h61m ps2

if it a clean install of windows try installing the intel chipset drivers see if after you install the drivers windows 7 will see the audio chipset. on the older mb you may need the ac97 audio drivers not the hd audio drivers.
under the audio driver look for the pci vendor info see what if googles as. you may have a 3 party sound card installed.

I have a 3rd party sound card installed and I think the audio chipset of my mb is of VIA® VT1705 Audio Codec

So... I installed via 1705 audio codec for my mb, upon restarting, my sound card is still not detected and the multimedia audio controller driver is still there

click on driver update....click on have disk and point to where you unziped the drivers.

1.this time a ? mark came on multimedia audio controller:

6.this time windows successfully updated the driver but an unknown device came
