Multimedia Audio Controlller

Hi all,

I am in a bit of a spot. My sound has stopped working after upgrading from 8.1 32 bit to 8.1 64 bit (clean install)

Now my MAC is no longer working (yellow exclamation mark in Device Manager).

I have a Gigabyte EP45-UD3P Motherboard which doesn't carry drivers past Windows 7 64 bit.

I have tried downloading and installing these but it doesn't help.

When I try running the 8.1 driver for my sound card Asus Xonar DGX the installer can't find the card...

Any ideas on what I can do would be greatly appreciated.

Umm you may have to disable the onboard sound if you want to use your own soundcard. This maybe why it can't find it

Win7 64 bit drivers should still work in Windows 8 64 bit tho

Disable it in the BIOS
