Hi guys, im having a problem with mp games. In all mp games no matter if it req. big pc or low end pc it has fps drops. I run all the single player games like Bioshock infinite, dead space 3 (games which im playing now) at ultra settings, but mp games even in Low settings have fps drops. Curently playing : Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex First Assault Online , Block N Load , LOL etc. All those games have fps drops from 80 to 20, 30. It only happens on MP games. The temps are very good, no background apps, drivers up to dated everything its ok with pc. Using w7 Home Premium 64bit, Only happens in MP games. Thank you very much anyone that helps.

Again, if the games play fine in single player you have something up with your connection. Your internet speed doesn't matter if you have horrible ping and latency issues. Thats what causes fps drops as the game waits for the network to catch up.

I should say 1 more issue (which I assumed unlikely, mistakenly, but it is possible) and thats if your CPU just plain is not up to multiplayer gaming. What are your full system specs?

The internet is 20mb/s. Its not LAG from internet, its FPS Drops, the internet is 20mbs, its enough to play games.

Connectivity doesn't impact actual frame rates, the type of lag you see from bad latency is "rubber banding" or "ice skating" type of stuff. 20Mb/s is plenty to just game on, so that shouldn't be the issue. Have you monitored your temps when on MP?

This sounds weird, but interesting.

I will note right off the bat though, that Ghost in the Shell is so horribly unoptimized, framerates will suffer all across the board, regardless of hardware. I can't even ini edit my way out of that hell. Framerate in that game is also tied to everyone else's ping with some super sorcery in an effort to make it "fair", so someone else's interrupted internet connection will cause all other players in that lobby to hiccup as well, seen in both framerate and ping.

Regardless, have you tried fully disabling HPET or fully enabling HPET so it's the only timer? Disabling HPET got me a few more fps, and far more frame time consistency, something I had been blaming on my graphics card for all this time.

Frame drops in LOL would be downright weird. Is it some anti-cheat or something just hogging resources?
