Multiple BSOD in past few days (also strange kind of crash)

Howdy folks! In the past few days, I have gotten many BSOD's while browsing the web, playing games, or talking to people on Teamspeak 3. Usually the
BSOD/crash hits me usually an hour in while I'm doing those things in a session. Before I did get BSOD's and crashes but they were few and spread out. I never responded to them because they happened very sparsely. Now that they are very constant, I need to do some action. I have went into safe mode right now and am typing this on another computer. Oh and this problem started Saturday, May 7th 2012.

As for the dmp files, I was a noob and didn't have the option for the BSOD crashes to save dmp files but now that that is enabled, I do have one dmp file that I can share.


Also I have noticed that sometimes that when the computer crashes, the sound becomes very distorted, the screen tears/fuzzes into a static-like image and then it just restarts. I either get this kind of crash or just a simple BSOD. It's very strange.

Apparently these are considered BSODs as well according to bluescreenview, they just dont have the bluescreen. Interesting..

Things that I have done but to no avail -

- Deleted MSI Afterburner
-Deleted Daemon Tools
-Completed a Memtest86 on my RAM. No errors even after 10 passes.
-Took out the RAM sticks, cleaned and then put back in their sockets.
-Cleaned the computer for dust
-Used Ccleaner to scan for problems and junk.
-Full scan of Malwarebytes. Caught 7 things but still nothing changes.
-Done an SFC /scannow scan
-Downloaded all the major Windows 7 updates.
-chkdsk scan.

Temperatures vary but they tend to stay normal.

CPU average temperature is around 40 C idle.
GPU Temperature is about 40C idle, 50C viewing videos, and and may hit to around 60-65 C while gaming. Fan speed on 55%.

The most important Blue Screen of Death troubleshooting step you can take is to ask yourself what you just did.

1) Did you just install a new program or a piece of hardware, update a driver, install an update, etc.? If so, there's a very good chance that the change you made caused the BSOD:
Startup using Last Known Good Configuration to undo recent registry and driver changes.
Use System Restore to undo recent system changes.
Roll Back device driver to version prior to your driver update.

2) Scan your computer for viruses. Some viruses can cause a Blue Screen of Death, especially ones that infect the master boot record (MBR) or boot sector.

3) Update drivers for your hardware. Most Blue Screens of Death are hardware or driver related so updated drivers could fix the cause of the STOP error.

4) Return hardware settings to default in Device Manager.

also have you updated the mb bios to the newest rev..look like your mb had a lot of bug fixes done..one was to help it with video cards.

Hmm, about those Mobo updates, I would download the "M4A79XTD EVO BIOS 2102" correct?

Also, I heard updating the bios is risky and quite dangerous. Can you explain that?

This indicates that a kernel-mode program generated an exception which the error handler did not catch.

Can't tie to a particular cause with this BSOD alone.

In the meantime, a RAM test with memtest86/Prime95 [blend test] would be a good first step, since RAM is the cause of the vast majority of BSOD messages. If that passes, then running sfc /scannow will look for any corrupted windows drivers.

most mb vendors have flash program for windows or you do it from a usb stick and hit an f key at boot.
the trick is you have to start at the flash rev above the one on the board you can just to the last one or you may brick your mb.
cpu-z mb tab will tell you the rev and bios of your mb if you miss it a post.

Check CMOS and Memory Modules

If the error message on the BSoD reads "UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP," then it indicates you have problem with the memory of your computer. You need to check whether the SIMMs (Single Inline Memory Modules) are compatible and have the same speed. Secondly, also check whether you have set the CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) to the right amount of RAM. If these solutions do not work, you might have to replace memory in your computer.

Sometimes the cause of BSoD is a faulty hard disk.

Run Prime95's Blend test. If that passes, then its certainly not RAM related. Memtest ONLY stresses the RAM, but if the problem is on the mobo side [northbridge, or a intermittent power problem], it does a bad job finding the problem. Prime95 stresses the entire RAM subsystem, so if that passes, you can be sure thats not the problem.

that the link for memory the vendor has tested and found to work and not work in your mb.
cmos is the set up screen for all mb. in the mb guild will show the set up screen and what they do.

Alright so I was problem-free for about a month and the blue screens are acting up again as of May 6, 2012.

I have used Driver Verifier and I got a BSOD about 20 minutes in.

I have linked you all to a mediafire link that includes a zip. Inside the ZIP are the results of a "BSOD Dump & System File Collection app" and "System Health Report".

Also all the dmps from the app are included (including the dmp with driver verifier).

Hopefully, we can smash this problem from here on in.
